Montes:

PG2 may only fly under the on-site supervision of a Senior Safety Officer (SSO) or Senior Supervising Officer (SSO#).
PG3 may only fly when a Duty Pilot has been nominated and briefed.
Duty Pilot: When there are no safety Officers Present a Duty Pilot must be elected. A Duty pilot must be a full club member, PG4/HG4> with prior experience at that site in hang gliders or paragliders that are the same type of aircraft being supervised.
If you are not comfortable supervising a PG3 pilot, then you are entirely within your right to refuse to do this. Taking on a supervision role does entail taking on more responsibility. You should be prepared to provide a site briefing (NOT INDUCTION) and keep an eye on conditions and on the supervised pilot.
Any pilot that lands in the "No Landing area" below Montes Launch is encouraged to complete the attached Emergency LZ form within 24H so we can manage any issues with the property owners.

A signing-off system has been implemented. The last person to leave the site must check that the gate at Launch and LZ are locked and secure. They MUST post on the Telegram Flying Updates Group, "Leaving Possums, Top and Bottom Gates have been checked and are locked."
Before flying, the neighbour must be called and advised that flying is commencing, and that post must also be posted on the Telegram Flying Updates Group. This is also important so know members are onsite and who can be called if there is an issue.

Due to the proximity of Lismore and Ballina airports, it is mandatory for every pilot to carry a VHF radio. Air services advised a general call when in the air and suggested, “Ballina Information, Lismore Traffic, Paraglider 12345 conducting paragliding operations at Numulgi Hill. Lismore.” This call should be updated throughout the day. If you leave the site for XC maintain a listening watch and if you hear of a possible conflict make sure you broadcast your updated location.
